The Black Crystal of Darkness

An Epic Fantasy Adventure Game

Welcome to Isorack, a land once filled with light — now plunged into shadow by the vile warlock Crax. His Black Crystal of Darkness drains the life and color from the realm, and only the bravest heroes dare to oppose him.

You are one of those hero warriors venturing across wildlands, haunted ruins, and perilous dungeons in search of ancient weapons, armour, spells, and magical artifacts. Along the way, you’ll face fearsome creatures, cunning traps, natural disasters, and powerful magic.

Legend tells of the Sword Celestar, a divine weapon hidden deep within the Valley of Death, guarded by an immense dragon. Many have sought it. None have returned. Will you be the first?

Your ultimate quest is to secretly enter Thunder Mountain Castle, confront Crax or one of his hideous guardians, and destroy the Black Crystal — but survival will require courage and cunning but most of all experience in battle using weapons and armour of the highest level with plenty of spells you have learnt on your journey. Side quests and hidden paths will test your might and reward your perseverance.

This is not a game for the faint-hearted. Every decision counts, every battle scar, and every treasure may turn the tide. Prepare for your journey into the Evil Castle, and forge your legend across the lands of Isorack.

Game History

I started this game in 1988 when I was living in a Hotel in St Mawes in Cornwall as the Head Chef.
I was inspired by a number of games I had played but was left wanting more from the game or it didn't quite hit the mark so I set out to develop a game that included strategy, role play, spells, Sub quests to the main quest, travelling, buying and selling, some interaction with other occasionally and balanced combat system that you could affect the outcome during the fight, use of spell etc...

As the game developed I was able to play test with my brother in law and with the staff from the hotel and as these changed over the year I could test it on other staff and this happened as I moved from hotel to hotel.
I have dipped in and out of it over the years as I had a family and job commitments became more demanding but it was always there in the background.

Now thanks to modern materials and large printers I can now produce the game myself, so this game is all handmade to a very high quality and I am sure you will really enjoy the Epic Adventure.
