Hand of Sorcery

A Big game in a small box

Search the Dungeon for a way to the treasure room, you may even find treasure by searching a room

Study the Spell book for useful spells to cast

Stop your opponents by casting spells and causing havoc

You'll encounter many twist and turns as you explore the dark recesses of the dungeons, so use your spell points wisely

Try and outcast your opponent/s to stop them from progressing further.
If you reach a dead end try blasting a hole in the wall with a fireball spell.

If you're stuck study the spell book for inspiration but use your spell power wisely because as well as casting spells you need to counter your opponents spells too
Hand of Sorcery is a Spell casting card game for 2 to 4 players in which the object of the game is to reach the fabled Treasure room by travelling through the dungeon and on the way collecting treasure and discovering new locations that score the highest amount of points.
The game fits into a pocket size box but plays like a board game.
Each location and treasure card played has a points value, so the further you go the more points you get however don’t be left with treasure in your hand as they will count against you when the game finishes.
And while this is going on you and your opponents will be casting spells on each other to stop you or them from moving and/or scoring. Although the game is easy to play it combines strategy with opportunities to out wit your opponent/s.
As the game progresses you soon realise that the main objective isn't to reach the Treasure but to stop your opponent/s reaching the treasure room anyway you can and reduce their score anyway you can.
The game can be played as a single game or in rounds and/or spread over many days while on holiday etc... The player with the highest score is the winner. So use pen and paper to keep the running score.
Hand of Sorcery is occasionally updated and the rules changed to enhance the game.
When I add any changes I will add the notes on this page explaining what to do, so keep an eye out for up dates.

Q&A

Q - How long does a game last
If 2 playing 10 to 20 mins, 3 to 4 playing up to an hour, this will depend how the cards come out and what spells you encounter and cast on the way.

Q - Can I cast multiply spells during my turn on the same player?
A - Yes as long as you have enough Spell points however there a number of spells that can only be cast one at a time on a player e.g. the "Holding spell" a player can only have one holding spell effecting them at anytime, so one player can't cast the spell then another player cast the same spell, the defender must counter the spell to clear it before someone can cast the same spell again.
Q - Can I cast different multiply spells on a player?
A - Yes again as long as you you have enough Spell points and the spells don't clash. e.g. you can't cast a "Deep water spell and a "Creature attack" spell at the same time or if one of the spells is already active on a player however you could cast a "Creature attack" and "No torch light" spell as these spells do not clash.
